Several businesses participating in 4th annual ApplePalooza
SYCAMORE – Fourteen local businesses will be celebrating everything apple during the fourth annual ApplePalooza on Saturday in downtown Sycamore.
Patrons young and old will have the chance to participate in activities, store specials and the introduction of seasonal foods for purchase at the fall open house, according to a news release.
Made Just for You, 338 W. State St., will host its annual open house as well as ApplePalooza. There will be a free fall craft project for kids, and customers also can register for door prizes, participate in store specials and sample Aspen Spices’ warm spiced cider mix.
Attendees also may receive a free apple ornament with any purchase at Christian Connection, 337 W. State St. Rustic Roots, 120 S. Maple St., will be serving an apple mimosa drink. Customers also can pick an apple for a discount or prize from The Garden Market, 354 N. Main St.
Sweet Earth Jewelry and Gifts, 341 W. State St., will have free old-fashioned games for kids and offer 20 percent off its homemade all-natural apple butter and scented soy apple candles. The Clock Shoppe, 330 W. State St., will offer a free apple with any purchase.
Hopper’s Poppers, 422 W. State St., will feature toffee apple popcorn, caramel apples and apple cider slushies.
Patrons can enter a contest to win a gift basket with a gift certificate at Lizzy’s Pink Boutique, 303 W. State St., after showing off their apple knowledge and sharing your favorite item in the store. Luxe Salon, 352 W. State St., will have a drawing for a complementary hair cut for anyone who gets a tour of the salon and also will offer apple cinnamon tea.
Whimsical Perspective, 366 W. State St., will offer a “bobbing for apples” discount and a drawing for a new caramel apple candle. Cassie’s Corn Crib Café, 124 S. Maple St., will have a free mini cupcake and a coloring contest for kids, plus cookie decorating for kids.
The first 50 people who come in to Allergies, Aches, and Pains Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center, 206 W. Elm St., between 9 a.m. and noon will receive a complementary mulled cider essential oil diffuser blend.
Shop in Style, 308 W. State St., also will have store specials as part of the open house. The Midwest Museum of Natural History, 425 W. State St., also is offering self-guided apple dissections and make-and-take apple crafts, free with admission.
