ST. JOHN’S, Newfoundland (AP) _ Rinmiro Romero scored with three minutes remaining Sunday, lifting Mexico to a 2-2 tie with Bolivia in Group D at the under-16 World Cup soccer tournament.
Romero beat Bolivian goalkeeper Julio Encinas, scoring off a crossing pass to rally Mexico from a 2-0 deficit.
After a scoreless first half, Manual Lobo scored at the 50-minute and Luis Cristaldo added another goal three minutes later. Daniel Landa pulled Mexico to within a goal in the 57th minute after a wild scramble in front of Encinas.
