Beach Boys lead singer to appear in Stamford

STAMFORD — Beach Boys lead singer Mike Love will join this week’s Civility in America Series at Ferguson Library.

The Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will sign copies of his recently released memoir, “Good Vibrations: My Life as a Beach Boy.”

In the book, Love tells the story of his legendary five-decade career as the front man of the Beach Boys.

His vocal talent was central to many of the bands signature hits, including “California Girls,” “Surfin’ U.S.A.,” “I Get Around,” and “Fun, Fun, Fun.” Oct. 10 marks the 50th anniversary of one of the band’s biggest hits, “Good Vibrations.”

The event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday at the main library, 1 Public Library Plaza.
