Lloyd ‘Butch’ R. Potts
Lloyd “Butch” R. Potts, 73, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at his home.
Lloyd Richard Potts was born on Dec. 21, 1945, to Lloyd and Rose (nee Robertson) Potts in La Crosse. Butch was a 1963 graduate of Central High School. On April 24, 1967, Butch married the former Susan Ford in Fall River, Massachusetts, until her death on March 10, 2005. He retired from We Energies after more than 30 years of employment. One of his many passions in life was riding the open road on his Harley when he wasn’t working on a project car. Despite his favorite mechanic trying to convince him to turn to the other side, he remained loyal to Chevy until the day he died. That loyalty and love ran even deeper for his children and grandchildren. Butch will be remembered for his quick sense of humor and his love of a good card game.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Scott) Tetzlaff of Lake Mills, Andrew Potts of Irvine, California; grandchildren, Kelly (Jason) Tetzlaff-Carl of Pewaukee, Kristen Tetzlaff of Lake Mills, Ross Tetzlaff of Lake Mills; special friend, Donna Rieter of Mukwonago; siblings, Sandra (Chuck) Schmidt, Cindy (Leo) Thomet; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 37 years, Susan Potts; siblings, Jerry Potts, Karen Sands.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Farmington with the Rev. Paul Burk officiating.
