Local building doubles compared to 2018
The value of all building permits issued in Watertown in the month of April was $1,382,790, more than double of April of 2018, which was $672,004, according to the latest report from the city building inspection department.
The cumulative total of all permits this year as of April is $4.0 million. The total of all permits through April 2018 was $2.7 million.
Five permits for single-family homes were issued last month at 1401 Schumann Drive, 901 Casey Drive, 1513 Neenah St., 806 Linda Lane and 910 Casey Drive. One permit was issued in April 2018.
The cumulative total of permits for homes this year is 13 while there were only seven permits for single-family residences in 2018 through April.
A number of other permits were also issue this month. Contractors for stoop expansion with roof at 1129 Jones St.; Dan Fehrman for a wood deck at 208 Lounsbury St.; Mainus Construction for a shed at 1421 S. Ninth St.; Dondlinger Concrete for repairing a basement wall at 212 N. Fourth St.; Mikel Palm for a chicken coop and run at 224 E. Spaulding St.; Spot On Properties for interior work at 511 E. Main St.; Robben Construction for a front stoop and steps at 1115 Center St.; Robert and Rebecca Burg for egress windows at 1068 Boughton St.; Lakeside Construction for deck repair at 702 N. Church St.; Andrew M. Kluss for a new garage at 810 N. Fourth St.; M&B Carpentry LLC for a new deck at 1322 Randolph St.; Van Gysel for a new deck at 214 W. Haven Drive; Mark Maederer for replacing a porch and steps at 401 N. Fifth St.; and Ark Builders for adding walls for a new bedroom and closets at 915 Charles St.
