John ‘Big Tony’ A. Pueppke

John “Big Tony” A. Pueppke, 65, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at a local care facility.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Big Tony was born Oct. 9, 1952, in Oakland, Calif., the son of Jack and Helen Pueppke. He graduated from Skyline High School in Oakland. Big Tony worked as a librarian assistant in California. He moved to Sioux City in 1985. He enjoyed living here. Big Tony was very musically inclined and could play almost any instrument, anywhere, any time.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Pueppke of Oakland; seven siblings, Susie (Tim) Neilson of Idaho, Tim (Debra) Pueppke of Oto, Iowa, Trisha Moore of Sioux City, Toni Renee Bolles of Sioux City, Tina Pueppke of Sioux City, Tamra (Arturo) Villegas of Sioux City and David Conley of Le Mars, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Daniel Conley.
