A smash and grab burglary at a gas station early Sunday morning resulted in a six-pack of beer stolen from the store.

The burglary was discovered by a newspaper delivery carrier at about 3:45 a.m. at the Phillips 66 station, 4 Collins Court, next to the Dutch Mill park and ride lot, Madison police said.

The glass door to the station had been shattered.

“Surveillance video showed a slender man in a dark jacket entering and taking a six-pack of beer from the gas station,” said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.

No description of the suspect was given.
