LSU freshman defensive backs, LB Devin White land on All-American squads

December 12, 2017

LSU redshirt freshman cornerback Greedy Williams made the AP All-American third team, and rookie safety Grant Delpit landed on ESPN’s All-Freshman team. Joining them was linebacker Devin White, a member of the USA Today All-American second team.

White and Williams, both from north Louisiana, led the Southeastern Conference in tackles and interceptions, respectively. Delpit picked off a pass, broke up eight more and finished with 52 tackles, serving as a full-time starter in Year 1 of college.

For Williams, it is the latest honor during a banner debut season. He landed on the SEC’s All-Freshman team, was a first-team All-SEC selection by the AP and was a second team All-SEC pick by the coaches. White was named a first team All-SEC selection by the both the AP and coaches.
