Police: 2 detained in robbery attempt at Los Angeles mall
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say two suspects have been detained in a possible robbery attempt at a Los Angeles mall after initial reports of gunfire at the sprawling shopping center.
Officials said there was no evidence of a shooting Sunday at Westfield Topanga and The Village in the Canoga Park area.
There was no further information about the suspects on Monday. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Officer Rosario Cervantes said Sunday that initial reports indicated it might have been a smash-and-grab robbery attempt.
Nobody was hurt. Police cleared the building as a precaution.
