SEOUL, South Korea (AP) _ A rescue helicopter that has just picked up two stranded hikers crashed into a rugged mountain in southern South Korea early Saturday. All seven people aboard were feared dead.

Debris from the helicopter was strewn along the side of Mt. Chiri, and rescuers said there were no signs of life. A sudden downpour and dense fog were believed to have caused the crash, some 150 miles south of Seoul.

The copter, with a pilot, co-pilot, mechanic and two medics aboard, had just picked up two hikers who had called for help after one of them injured his back while climbing.
