DeKalb library on hunt for vintage ’70s, ’80s yearbooks

May 12, 2019

The DeKalb Public Library is looking for DeKalb High School yearbooks from the era of disco and Pac-Man to complete its digital collection.

The library, 309 Oak St., plans to digitize all the DeKalb High yearbooks in its collection, according to a DeKalb Public Library news release. While most editions have already been gathered, they are missing books from the years 1977, ’79, ‘81 and ’82.

DeKalb alumni who are interested in donating their copies for the years stated can bring them to the circulation desk in the main lobby. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
