Penguins bring Stanley Cup to Michigan
Former Wolverines forward Kevin Porter will bring the Stanley Cup to Plymouth’s Kellogg Park today from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Porter is one of three local players who won the Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins this year.
Defenseman Ian Cole of Ann Arbor displayed the Cup at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube Arena Friday.
Forward Bryan Rust of Bloomfield Hills brought the trophy to a private party at Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield Saturday.
Porter, who was born in Plymouth and won the Hobey Baker Award as the best player in college hockey, will pose for photos and sign autographs Sunday at Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth.
Time permitting, he may wind up at the new grocery store in Plymouth, Westborn Market. The market is located in the old post office building at 860 Penniman.
