Spring’s sweet arrival: New Hampshire Maple Weekend
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — College basketball has “March Madness,” but this weekend is all about maple madness in New Hampshire.
Nearly 100 sugar houses will be open to the public Saturday and Sunday as part of the 24th annual New Hampshire Maple Weekend. Visitors can learn about how sap becomes syrup and enjoy samples of maple candy, coffee and doughnuts. Some locations offer pancake breakfasts, petting farms and horse-drawn rides.
The event is hosted by the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association. Many participating businesses are also hosting events throughout the month of March.
