According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
Deputies charged an Aiken man Monday with assault and battery after he hit another man with a shovel during an altercation on Chavous Road.
A Monetta man called police Monday claiming someone broke into his Hadden Road residence and stole two televisions and some change.
A 49-year-old Warrenville woman was charged with shoplifting Monday after she attempted to steal merchandise from an Augusta Road store.
According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 52-year-old Aiken woman called police Monday claiming someone continually called her at her Laurens Street home making accusation that she was going to be served papers if she did not pay a certain debt. Officers told the woman it was a scam.
A woman was charged Monday with shoplifting after she was caught attempting to steal merchandise from a Whiskey Road retail store.
A 53-year-old Aiken woman reported Monday someone broke one of the windows at her Pickens Avenue residence. Officers examined the home, but found no evidence that anyone had entered.
A 62-year-old Aiken woman called police Monday claiming a pitbull attacked her dog while she was walking it on Kershaw Place in Aiken.
Officers charged a man Tuesday with reckless driving after he was seen driving erratically in the parking lot of a Richland Avenue retail store.
