Gilbert & Sullivan singers join ACO at Fairfield concert

In their first collaboration with the American Chamber Orchestra, members of the Connecticut Gilbert and Sullivan Society will present a program of excerpts from four Gilbert and Sullivan operettas on Saturday, March 3, in Fairfield.

ACO Music Director Christopher Hisey and Society Music Director John Dreslin will share conducting duties.

The Gilbert and Sullivan Society, based in Middletown, which has been performing annual productions of Gilbert and Sullivan since 1980, will present excerpts from “The Mikado,” “Yeoman of the Guard,” “Pirates of Penzance” and “Iolanthe.”

The American Chamber Orchestra also announced it will be participating again in FCGives Day on March 1 through the Fairfield County Community Foundation event.
