Abington Holds Public Meetings For Elementary School Boundary Changes

February 25, 2019

CLARKS SUMMIT — Abington Heights Superintendent Michael Mahon, Ph.D., will hold two public meetings on Wednesday about possible school boundary changes within the district.

The first will take place at 6 p.m. at Waverly Elementary and the second at 7 p.m. at Clarks Summit Elementary.

The district has been working on a tentative plan to change the school’s boundaries to reduce class sizes and help with overcrowding at Waverly Elementary School.

Around 100 students from the Deerfield, Applewood and Laurelwood neighborhoods could be impacted by the change.
