Trumbull man charged after bank robbery in Monroe
MONROE — A Trumbull resident was charged Wednesday after police say he committed armed robbery at a bank in Monroe in September.
Police charged Joseph Grosso, 33, of Trumbull, with first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery and criminal possession of a firearm.
On Sept. 14, police said Grosso robbed the People’s Bank at 435 Main St. and displayed a handgun. Police said over $11,000 was taken. During the investigation into the incident, police said they identified Grosso as the suspect.
Police said Grosso was arrested and charged on Oct. 18. He was held on a $150,000 bond and was taken to Bridgeport Superior Court for arraignment after he was processed.
