Cooks for Christ to hold benefit for local man on Nov. 29
FLORENCE, S.C. – Lloyd L. “Trey” Cole III, a 49-year-old resident of Johnsonville, is in need of financial assistance as a result of health problems that started in 2015.
To help, Cooks for Christ is hosting a benefit for Cole on Nov. 29 at the West Florence Fire Station on Pine Needles Road in Florence.
Cole had triple bypass surgery in 2015. After surgery, it was discovered that he had been having mini strokes, and then he was diagnosed as a diabetic.
In May of 2017, he started having trouble breathing and went to the ER. After examination, it was discovered that he was in A-Fib and it was impacting his kidney function.
He had a bi-ventricular implant performed in August 2017, and he suffered a stroke in December that affected his vision and memory loss.
Cole is not able to work and needs help with his medical bills, medication and household bills.
At the Cooks for Christ benefit, lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu consists of chicken bog, green beans, slaw and bread.
Drive-through lanes will be open, and a bake sale will be held all day.
Plates cost $7 each. Lunch and dinner can be delivered for orders of seven or more plates. To schedule a delivery, please complete a delivery form and fax or email according to instructions provided on the form. The form can be found at facebook.com/CooksforChristFlorenceSC/.
