Reagan Nominates Three For Promotions Or New Posts

WASHINGTON (AP) _ President Reagan has nominated three Navy admirals for promotions or new assignments, the Pentagon said Friday.

Vice Adm. Nils R. Thunman has been nominated for a new assignment as the next chief of naval education and training. Thunman, 53, is currently serving as the deputy chief of naval operations for submarine warfare. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio.

Rear Adm. Cecil J. Kempf, has been nominated to receive his third star. Kempf, 57, is the chief of the Naval Reserve. He is a native of Maud, Okla.

The president nominated Rear Adm. William E. Ramsey to receive his third star. Ramsey, 54, is the deputy commander of the U.S. Space Command. He is a native of San Diego, Calif.
