Longmont Business Owner Searching for Man Who Vandalized Storefront

June 19, 2018 GMT

A Longmont business owner is looking for the suspect who broke the windows of his store early Sunday morning.

Longmont police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 100 block of Main Street and found that someone had thrown a rock through the windows of Longmont Liquor.

The owner of Longmont Liquors, Chris McGilvray, said in a Facebook message that he has no idea why someone would do this. Nothing in the store was stolen, according to both McGilvray and police.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect is a man with a medium build around 30 years old, according to Longmont police Cmdr. Joel Post. He has dark hair and is wearing glasses, a gray sweatshirt and jeans.

McGilvray posted photos from the surveillance footage on his Facebook Sunday morning, and they were shared on the Neighborhood Watch Longmont Facebook page.

Police have not identified a suspect, and the case is considered closed because of the lack of suspect information.
