November 18, 2019

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder following a Los Angeles vehicle crash that killed two teenagers who were passengers in his pickup.

The Daily News reports the Chevy truck veered into oncoming traffic and smashed into a van in Winnetka early Sunday.

The truck then rolled over, struck two parked cars and left the two passengers trapped inside.

A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were killed. Investigators believe the teens were brothers.

The driver was checked for minor injuries and taken into custody.

The newspaper says the van was struck on its side and pushed through a metal fence onto the yard of a nearby home. Police did not say whether anyone in the van was injured.
