At Holy Redeemer, the Royals broked open a tied game with a big second-quarter run, beating Northwest 65-47,

The win improved the Royals to 7-1, 3-0 in the Wyoming Valley Conference.

Justice Shoats poured in 24 points to lead Holy Redeemer.

Collin Cook and Nick Prociak each scored 13 and each grabbed nine rebounds. Cook added four assists. Jared Piontkowski hauled in seven rebounds.

Walker Yaple led Northwest (6-3, 1-2) with 15 points.

At Nanticoke Area, two Comets topped 20 points as Crestwood moved to 4-0 in the Wyoming Valley Conference (7-2 overall). 

Sean Murphy led Crestwood wih 24 points. Ryan Petrosky was right behind him with 23. 

Nate Kreitzer scored 23 to top the Trojans. 

Nanticoke Area (2-1 WVC) dropped its second straight after opening the season 7-0.

At Meyers, after trailing by three at the end of the first, Dallas took a one-point lead into halftime and gradually pulled away in the second half.

Nick Nocito scored 15 to lead the Mountaineers as they reached .500 for the season (5-5, 2-2 WVC).

Luke DelGaudio added 12 points for Dallas and Dylan Schuster chipped in 11.

Kendall Brewster hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 to lead Meyers (1-8, 1-3). Cole Walker added 12.

GAR (6-3, 3-1) outscored Valley West 21-5 in the second quarter.

Will Johnson had his hand in a number of GAR baskets scoring 27 points while dishing out 14 assists.

Tyler Young and Shawn Adamson each scored 14 poitns with Young adding seven assists.

Tom Federicci hit six 3-pointers and scored 26 to lead Valley West (1-9, 1-3).
