Athletes of the Week: Timpanogos’s Matt Norman and Lehi’s Macie Stewart
It was a busy week for the Golden Eagles as they played four games in five days. Logan Green was a consistent contributor in a variety of categories as Maple Mountain went 3-1.
Green scored in double digits in each game (going for 11 points, 12 points, 10 points and 10 points) while hauling in 27 rebounds, dishing out 24 assists and grabbing 12 steals.
On the season, Green is averaging 10 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, 5.5 assists per game and 2.9 steals per game — making him one of the most versatile and well-rounded players in the state.
The Pioneers have gotten off to a solid 5-2 start in 2018 and Macie Warren has been leading a balanced Lehi attack.
Warren put in 15 points to lead the Pioneers to a win at Juan Diego on Dec. 20, keeping Lehi rolling as it heads into the final week of the preseason.
She is averaging 10.2 points per game for the Pioneers, while also leading the team in assists (16 total). The sophomore is also one of the top 3-point shooters and has the second-most steals, showing she can get the job done at both ends of the court.
