Lamar Jackson explodes in Louisville win

Earlier in the week North Carolina said its defense would hold down Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.


The reigning Heisman Trophy Winner went off for 393 yards through the air on 25-for-39 passing with three touchdowns. He also 19 times for 132 yards and three more touchdowns.

Cardinals senior running back Malik Williams also had 13 carries for 149 yards. Junior wide receiver Jaylen Smith had nine catches for 183 yards and a touchdown.

North Carolina tried two different quarterbacks during the game. Brandon Harris was 17-for-23 for 216 yards, while Chazz Surratt was 12-for-14 for 168 yards.
