Greenwich water polo team tops Staples
The Greenwich High School girls water polo team stormed past Staples, recording a 15-7 win in a match held on Thursday. The Cardinals improved to 1-4-1 with the victory.
Freshman Kaila Carroll scored a team-high four goals and added two assists to pace the Cardinals offense. Junior Kellen Carlson recorded a hat trick, while sophomore Barbara Malone registered two goals and two assists to help lead Greenwich.
Junior Annie Robinson had two goals and two assists, while freshman Charlotte Hallisey and sophomore Peyton Turkeltaub each scored twice in the winning effort. Senior Samantha Bear had two assists, while senior Grace Leigh, junior Julia Merrill and sophomore Kate Turkeltaub each had one assist. Ainsleigh Winget made five saves in goal for Greenwich.
Greenwich plays Choate Rosemary Hall, Loomis Chaffee School and North Penn at the Choate Invitational on April 15.
