Boutros-Ghali Appoints Head of Croatia Mission
UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ U.N. Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali appointed a South Korean diplomat Monday to head the U.N. mission in Croatia.
Byung Suk Min will serve as civilian head of the peacekeeping mission.
Min, a foreign ministry official since 1976, has served as South Korean ambassador to the Czech Republic for the past 3 years.
The overall civilian head of peacekeeping operations in former Yugoslavia is Yasushi Akashi, a Japanese diplomat.
