Local ladies club to welcome holiday season, attendees with December luncheon
For its luncheon next month, the Lake Houston Ladies Club will feature the holiday spirit and the return of a familiar voice.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. all the way to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 at the Walden Country Club (18100 Walden Forest Drive, Humble). There is a $17 per person fee — for both guests and members — to attend and enjoy the lunch with performances from vocalist Mickey Hobbs.
“Due to his outstanding performance last year, we will enjoy Mickey Hobbs’ beautiful voice again at our holiday meeting,” according to a press release from LHLC. “Mickey has enjoyed performing professionally for over 20 years; and with no formal training, other than the church choir, he feels blessed to share his natural talent.”
Attendees are encouraged to wear holiday-themed sweaters and leggings, said Susan Regan, the club’s publicity chairman. There will also be a Cookie Swap and White Elephant Exchange after the luncheon.
Regan also said the LHLC is currently taking reservations and those interested can either visit the club web page (http://www.lakehoustonladiesclub.com/) or call Karen Benefield, the membership chairwoman (281-900-5584), by Dec. 11.
New members are welcome at the event.
LHLC is a social organization with an aim to connect women in the area through monthly luncheons and social activities including Movie Group, Bridge, Mahjong and more. There are events where spouses and significant others can participate, too.
