James A. Wellbeloved

BEAVER DAM -- James “Jimmy” A. Wellbeloved, age 55, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by family on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.

Jimmy was born on Jan. 29, 1963, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of James Thomas Wellbeloved of Viera, Florida, and Norma Jean (Smith) Wellbeloved of Beaver Dam.

While attending Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas, Jimmy excelled in scouting, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating in 1981, he moved to the Phoenix, Arizona, area where he worked as a landscaper, was employed in the hospitality industry and eventually drove his own limo. He enjoyed spending time with his children exploring Arizona. After arriving in Wisconsin, Jimmy went to work for the Kraft Heinz Company. He became an avid Brewers and Packers fan, and watched every game his schedule would allow. Jimmy never met a stranger, and made many friends over his lifetime.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter Madelyn Wellbeloved, his son Joshua Wellbeloved and their mother Tori McDivitt of Phoenix, Arizona; mother, Norma Jean Wellbeloved of Beaver Dam; father and stepmother, James T. and Helen Wellbeloved of Viera, Florida; sisters Susan (Dan) Caine of Lowell and Nancy (Michael Skinner) Kingston of Denton, Texas; and nephews Nolan Caine and John Caine. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jack Woodrow Smith and Nellie Smith Freels and paternal grandparents Jack and Ailleen (Rice) Wellbeloved.

The family of James “Jimmy” A. Wellbeloved would like to thank the staff of Meriter Hospital ICU for their excellent care and support.

There will be a celebration of Jimmy’s life on Thursday at the Char House Restaurant, 400 S. Center St., Beaver Dam, from 4-6:30 p.m., and a remembrance gathering at Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaver Dam, on Sunday at 11 a.m.
