CHAMONIX, France (AP) _ One of the three sons of slain Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme left a ski resort in Chamonix today to return to Sweden, officials said.
Mathias Palme, 17, left this Alpine resort by car accompanied by Sweden’s ambassador to France, Carl Lidbom. Local officials said he was to take a plane to Sweden from Paris.
The younger Palme also was accompanied by the deputy governor of the nearby village of Bonneville Jean-Bernard Cailly, who reportedly informed him of his father’s death.
