Wow Air puts Cleveland-to-Iceland flights on sale, with fares as low as $69

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Wow Air, the Iceland-based carrier that starts flying from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport next week, announced a new sale on Tuesday, with one-way fares for as low as $69 to Reykjavik.

The fares – available on a select number of dates only – are good for travel in May, June, September and October, according to the airline.

A quick check online found available $69 fares from Cleveland for these upcoming dates: May 6, May 21, June 6, June 18, June 20, June 25, June 27.

But be careful: Wow, like other ultra-low-cost carriers, charges fees for many basic amenities, including advanced seat assignments and carry-on and checked bags.

In addition, passengers who want to use Wow to travel elsewhere in Europe will pay more.

The carrier’s inaugural flight from Cleveland is Friday, May 4. Forget about getting a low fare on that date – the price listed is $999.

Icelandair, also based in Reykjavik, starts flying from Cleveland on May 16.
