McKnight captures Tri-State PGA Senior Championship
Chris McKnight fired a 3-under par 68 during the final round and finished with a 5-under 137 to capture the Tri-State PGA Senior Championship Thursday at Indiana Country Club.
The Laurel Valley Golf Club head professional began the round in second place behind Indiana pro Daniel Braun. But Braun shot a 2-over 73 and finished second with a 2-under 140.
Treesdale Golf and Country Club pro Joe Boros was third at 1-under and professionals Denny Dolci and Gordon Vietmeier tied for fourth at even.
The top five finishers earned a spot in the 2018 Senior Professional National Championship on Oct. 25-28 at PGA Golf Club in Port Lucie, Fla.
