Nevada basketball signs transfer from Louisiana Tech
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Jalen Harris, a former Louisiana Tech guard who was named to Conference USA’s all-freshman team a year ago, has agreed to play basketball at Nevada beginning in the 2019-20 season.
Nevada Coach Eric Musselman announced Friday the school has signed Harris to a scholarship agreement that will leave him with two years of eligibility after he sits out the 2018-19 season.
The 6-4 guard from Dallas started 11 games this season as a sophomore at Louisiana Tech and was averaging 15.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists before he decided to transfer. He was shooting 47.8 percent and 44.4 from 3-point range.
Harris averaged 10.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game as a freshman at Louisiana Tech.
Musselman said he’ll will be a “huge addition” to the Wolf Pack program.
