3 lanes open on I-75 as widening work continues

The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued updates for road work in Wood County, including the ongoing Interstate 75 widening project.

Concerning the widening:

• Southbound I-75, between Portage Road and Oil Center Road, is now open to three lanes. Additional traffic pattern changes will be announced.

• Through November, overnight from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., single lane restrictions are possible on I-75, between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg and County Road 99 in Hancock County. Through December, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from U.S. 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through December, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between Route 20 in Perrysburg and Route 99 in Hancock County.

• Through November, the ramp from southbound I-75 to Ohio 582 is closed for pavement widening.

• Through November, the ramp from Route 582 to southbound I-75 is closed for pavement widening.

• Through November, Route 582 over I-75 will be reduced to one lane for pavement and bridge work.

In other projects:

• Effective Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon, eastbound Ohio 64/105 (Wooster Street) over I-75 will be reduced to one lane for material testing.

• Through December, the northbound I-75 rest area is closed for renovations. Through June 2017, the southbound I-75 rest area is closed for renovations and pavement repair.

• Through Nov. 11, daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., lane restrictions are possible on the collector ramp from southbound I-75 to the Ohio Turnpike and Ohio 795 (Exit 195) for pavement repair. The ramps will remain open.

• Through December, intermittent overnight lane restrictions are possible on I-75, Interstate 280 and I-475 in Lucas and Wood counties for maintenance work.

• Through November, U.S. 6 between Ohio 25 and Dunbridge Road, is reduced to one lane in each direction. Lane widths are restricted to 11 feet in this work zone.

• Through October, lane restrictions are possible on Route 6, between the Wood/Henry County line and Ohio 235, for paving.

• The weather sensor installation on Route 20, between Lime City Road and Ohio 420, is complete. Restrictions and closures will be announced in 2017.

• Through October 2017, overnight from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., single lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between the I-75/475 interchange and Fort Meigs Road. Additionally, overnight from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., lane restrictions are possible on Route 25, between Levis Commons Boulevard and Eckel Junction Road.

• Additional restrictions for the roundabout at Ohio 199 and Roachton Road may be announced for finish work.

• Effective Nov. 7 through Nov. 21, Ohio 235, between Railroad Street and Needles Road in Hoytville, will be closed for railroad repair.

• Through November, daytime intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Route 795 at Glenwood Road, for traffic signal upgrades.

• Cherry Street, between Lennex Lane and Main Street in Millbury, now open. Through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Cherry Street, between Lennex Lane and Main Street in Millbury, for finish work.

• Through November, Dunbridge Road, between Nelson Road and Simonds Road, is closed for bridge replacement.

• Through November, Lemoyne Road, between Gilbert Road and Garling Road, is closed for bridge replacement.

• Through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Lime City Road between Marilyn Drive and Grassy Lane for finish work.

• Through November, lane restrictions are possible on Ohio 51, between Ohio 163 and Ohio 579, for pavement repair.

• Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail, striping and electrical maintenance.

• Through October, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible district wide for mowing.

• Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for raised pavement marker work.
