One injured in I-90 crash near Dexter

DEXTER — Two pickup trucks collided Saturday evening near Dexter, sending the driver of one vehicle to the hospital.

Harvey Raymond Friederichs, 23, of Rochester was driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado east on Interstate 90 near Dexter in Mower County at about 7:42 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 20018 Ford F-150 also eastbound and driven by Jacob Robert Kaput, 32, of Rochester.

Kaput was not injured in the crash, and neither was Hank Anthony Friederichs, 21, of Rochester, a passenger in the Chevy. However, Harvey Friederichs was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries. No update was available this morning on his condition.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Meadow Fire and Ambulance, Grand Meadow Police Department and Dexter First Responders also responded to the scene.
