Family holding private funeral for boy killed by alligator
The family of the Nebraska boy killed by an alligator at Disney World will hold his private funeral on Tuesday.
Lane Graves was wading in a lake at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa last Tuesday when an alligator snatched him and dragged him under.
His father rushed to try and save his son, but he could not free him from the animal.
The boy’s body was found one day later.
The entertainment giant and resort could face a legal battle after the attack. Lawyers have said the company, as a hotel operator, had a duty to protect guests from the risk of physical harm.
One of the key questions could be about Disney’s prior knowledge about alligators in its lakes and other bodies of water.
