Tip leads to 6 arrests in city
Six people were arrested in a drug sweep, Fort Wayne police said Thursday.
Around 3 p.m. Wednesday, Fort Wayne police searched a residence at 7471/2 W. DeWald St. after receiving tips of possible drug dealing inside the home, police said.
Numerous people were inside the home at the time, police said.
Patrick D. Manuel, 38, of Fort Wayne, was charged with possession of cocaine or narcotic drug and possession of a synthetic drug look-alike substance. There were also two outstanding warrants for his arrest, police said.
Christopher A. McDonald, 44, was charged with maintaining a common nuisance.
Terrance J. White, 29, was charged with violating probation and resisting law enforcement. Police said he jumped out of a second-story window and fled but was caught after a short pursuit.
Olivia M. Flores Cuadrado, 26, was charged with violating probation, and Brandon D. Kyles, was arrested on a fail to pay warrant for possession of a synthetic drug, police said. A woman was arrested on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
Detectives found 2.4 grams of crack cocaine, 0.1 gram of heroin, 2.1 grams of marijuana, 16.3 grams of synthetic cannabinoid and drug paraphernalia including scales and crack pipes.
A .38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver also was recovered.
