AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) _ Running back Ralph Dawkins slammed up the middle 15 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and the Amsterdam Admirals went on to beat the Rhine Fire 23-20 Saturday in a World Football League game.

The Admirals added an insurance touchdown when Latario Rachal blocked a punt and defensive back Robert O'Neal ran the ball in for the score.

That proved the difference because Fire quarterback T.J. Rubley hit Bill Schroeder with a touchdown pass with only 32 seconds to play to complete the scoring.

It was Rubley's second scoring pass of the game. He also connected with David Rhodes on a 38-yard play.

Ontiwaun Carter started the second half with a 17-yard touchdown run for the German team.

The game drew 10,698, the Amsterdam franchise's lowest attendance since it moved into the covered soccer stadium at the start of the season.
