Sage Communications Wins Platinum and Gold MarCom Awards for Vcinity and Army Ten-Miler Campaigns

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec 19, 2018--Sage Communications, a full-service marketing and public relations agency in the Washington, D.C. metro region, announced today that the company has been awarded two  MarCom Awards  for outstanding marketing campaigns, honoring the innovation and creativity that the agency brings to its clients.

Sage was recognized for two cutting-edge campaigns, including a Platinum Award for the Vcinity brand refresh and a Gold Award for the Army Ten-Miler (ATM) integrated marketing campaign. Additionally, MarCom awarded Sage with an honorable mention for Merkle RMG’s “Behind the Scenes” direct mail campaign.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Each year about 6,000 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries. In the past, only about 15 percent of entries won Platinum, the top award, and only around 20 percent the Gold Award.

For Vcinity, Sage provided overall marketing content creation, website design and development, branding, media relations and social media support for the company’s launch at the 2018 Gartner Symposium and IT Expo. With Vcinity’s mission—to put data anywhere within reach of users—in mind, Sage developed a launch strategy that started with the creation of corporate messaging and thought leadership.

In doing so, Sage made extensive improvements to the overall site navigation, web content and site hierarchy to create an optimal web experience for all visitors.

In addition, Sage spearheaded the production, preparation and delivery of multiple collateral pieces required of the campaign. This included the 2018 race logo, t-shirt, program, pocket guide, calendar, banner ups, finisher coin, certificates, signage, print and online advertisements.
