GREENWICH — A Greenwich man has been charged with a felony count of assault, allegedly hitting another man with a beer bottle in the head at an Old Greenwich bar and restaurant.

Robert Woodbury Jr., 28, of Conyers Farm Road, turned himself into police headquarters late last week to answer an arrest warrant on charges of second-degree assault and breach of peace.

According to police, officers were called to the Old Greenwich Social Club off Sound Beach Avenue on the night of Nov. 2. A man there was found bleeding, claiming he’d been hit in the head with a bottle.

A subsequent investigation resulted in a warrant being issued. Bail was set at $5,000.
