West Concord City Council looks to fill vacancy
WEST CONCORD — The city of West Concord is looking to fill a temporary position on the City Council after Council Member Ryan Fay resigned last week.
Fay will be moving out of the area, and his resignation will be effective July 30. The council is looking to find his replacement at the August meeting.
The decision to make a temporary appointment was chosen because the council will begin work on the 2019 budget in early August. Other routes could have included hosting a special election or adding the council position to the August primary.
