One person displaced following Sunday night Clyde McGee Road fire
TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. -- A camper trailer was destroyed and one person displaced by fire Sunday night.
Sardis-Timmonsville firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire -- reported by “multiple 911 calls” -- on Clyde McGee Road and, upon arrival, found the burning trailer under a metal shelter, according to information posted to Facebook by the agency.
Firefighters had the fire under control in about 15 minutes but were unable to prevent the trailer from being a total loss.
Sardis-Timmonsville Fire Department responded with three engines, two tankers and command staff.
There were no injuries and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation but is not considered to be suspicious at this time, according to a department spokesperson.
