Miller ‘walks the Walk’ for Tewksbury
I am writing this letter in support of Jayne Wellman Miller who is running for one of the two seats on the Tewksbury Board of Selectmen this town election season. I believe I have a unique perspective as being an involved town resident myself, I have known Jayne for roughly 15 years now both personally and on the Tewksbury political front.
I have watched her grow from her humble beginnings as a newspaper reporter, to editor, to School Committee member, to working with her on both The Rail Trails Committee which she co-founded and the Town’s Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee of which she was an integral part, right through to her current position as town moderator, at which she excels.
A common thread woven through all of these experiences and endeavors is her work ethic and thorough preparedness for anything she tackles ... she does her homework! Jayne not only “talks the talk,” she follows through and “walks the walk,” which can only serve to further benefit our community in a leadership role.
She constantly educates herself on all Tewksbury matters through attending various board meetings and town events to stay on top of issues and get the pulse of residents and their concerns. Extensive community service and volunteerism is yet another admirable quality she possesses.
One can always count on Jayne to help out. It is a valuable civic lesson she has passed down to her children. For all of these reasons I am confident in casting my vote for Jayne on Saturday, April 6, and encourage other citizens to join me and do the same for a better Tewksbury.
