Danbury Library to host naturalization ceremony Wednesday
DANBURY — The Danbury Library will host a naturalization ceremony at noon Wednesday.
Twenty candidates from the Danbury area will take the Oath of Allegiance to become U.S. citizens and Mayor Mark Boughton will give a keynote address.
The library has participated over the last year in the Peer Library Citizenship Coalition, a federal grant and program through the Hartford Library to develop resources for immigrants and new citizens in local libraries.
Danbury’s ceremony is one of six naturalization ceremonies to be hosted at public libraries across the state during National Library Week this week.
