Odell names Girls, Boys State representatives
The Armstrong-Wasserman Post and Unit of Odell recently announced its Girls and Boys State representatives.
Camaryn Gydesen, a junior at Diller-Odell High, will attend Girls State. She is involved in Student Council, Engage, National Honor Society, FBLA, Art Club, Spanish Club, basketball, track, and 4-H. Camaryn is the daughter of Scott and Stacey Gydesen. Mahaila Engelman is the alternate.
Jesse Scheele, a junior at Diller-Odell High, will attend Boys State. He is involved in FFA, FBLA, Beatrice Trap Team, football, basketball, OACE, and St. Paul Lutheran Church youth group. Jesse is the son of Tim and Jill Scheele.
Wyatt Scheele, a junior at Diller-Odell High, will also attend Boys State. He is involved in FFA, FBLA, Art Club, football, basketball, and Beatrice Trap Team. He is the son of Bill and Joy Scheele.
Cornhusker Girl and Boy State is an annual event. Juniors from across the state spend a week in Lincoln learning about our state government. They are given the opportunity to campaign for an office, vote, and visit offices of their elected or appointed counterparts. They also hear several speakers on related topics.
