Marshall, 34, is starting to see his career sputter out after just a few seasons removed from catching a career-high 14 receiving touchdowns in 2015. That was tied for the NFL lead that year, while he played for the New York Jets.

In 2016, Marshall caught just three touchdowns in 15 games and saw his season-to-season reception total drop from 109 to 59, all while publicly feuding with teammate Sheldon Richardson. The Jets cut him that offseason and he moved to their crosstown rival.

But with the Giants, Marshall caught 18 balls in five games, without scoring, then injured his left ankle and underwent season-ending surgery.

Last week, the Dallas Cowboys released wide receiver Dez Bryant, who then indicated he would like to play against the Cowboys twice in 2018 as an NFC East opponent. The Giants, Redskins and Eagles reportedly aren’t interested in Bryant.

But now, the Giants have room on their roster for another receiver to join Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard.
