Billerica Woman Faces Pelham Drunken-driving Charge After Crash

PELHAM, N.H. -- A Billerica woman was charged with driving under the influence after driving 20 feet down an embankment Friday evening, according to police.
Joelle Bissell was arrested after the crash in the area of 30 Bridge St. Police say she was impaired while driving.
At 5 p.m., police officers were dispatched for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle about 20 feet down an embankment. There were two other people in the car. No one was hurt.
Police determined that Bissell pulled out of the BP Gas Station, crossed the double yellow line and then drove down the embankment. No other vehicles were involved.
She was bailed and released into the custody of a sober adult.
Bissell will be arraigned at Salem District Court on Dec. 4.
