Construction landslide closes lanes on Interstate 77 in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A landslide due to flooding in a construction area has closed lanes of Interstate 77 in Cleveland.

Only one lane is open one-quarter mile from the interchange of Interstate 77 north and Interstate 490, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has been notified of the landslide.

It’s unclear how long the lanes will be blocked due to the landslide. Cleveland police have also warned that flooding has closed Valley Road and the Jennings Freeway until further notice.
