Action thriller being screened at Greenwich libary

GREENWICH — A film about a dystopian future will be screening at the Greenwich Public library tonight.

The film, “The 5th Wave,” is being shown in conjunction with a summer-reading program for teenagers.

According to the library:

As part of the library’s 2016 Teen Summer Reading Program, the exciting 2016 film adaptation of Rick Yancey’s “The 5th Wave” will be shown in the second floor meeting room this Thursday, July 14, beginning at 6:00 PM.

Four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth in ruin. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal fifth wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope - if she can only trust him. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Liev Schreiber, and Maria Bello. Color. 112 minutes. PG-13.
