Logan Wilson becomes 3rd Wyoming All-American of 2016

LARAMIE, Wyo. — On Sunday, USA Today Sports announced its 2016 Freshman All-America Team and Wyoming linebacker Logan Wilson was named to the 25-man squad.

Previously, Wilson was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year in voting by the league’s head coaches and media. The redshirt freshman from Casper, Wyo., ranked No. 1 among all Mountain West freshmen in tackles this season, averaging 6.8 tackles per game. He also ranked No. 21 overall in the MW in tackles.

On the season, Wilson was fourth on the Cowboys in tackles (88), had 3.0 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions for 83 yards, three fumble recoveries, three pass breakups and one forced fumble.

Other Cowboys to earn All-America honors are: senior center Chase Roullier (second team All-American as selected by USA Today Sports) and Brian Hill (third team All-American as selected by CollegeSportsMadness).
