Pan American Silver: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Pan American Silver Corp. (PAAS) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $37.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 18 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 35 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 10 cents per share.
The silver mining company posted revenue of $352.2 million in the period.
Pan American Silver shares have risen 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $16.79, an increase of 11% in the last 12 months.
